Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law team in the United States seeks a Senior Specialist Legal Editor specializing in Private Equity and M&A. You will produce and refine content, lead complex deals, and help shape AI-powered legal solutions with collaboration across product, sales, and tech teams.

Requirements include a JD with US license, 8+ years PE experience, and strong writing/editing skills. The role emphasizes adaptability, teamwork, and comfort with AI-enabled legal practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor with an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of sponsor-side Private Equity experience leading complex M&A deals.
• Experience advising PE sponsors, portfolio companies, co-investors, and lenders on acquisitions/dispositions and growth investments.
• Experience drafting and negotiating SLAs, SPAs, merger agreements, and related documents.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with clarity and concision in plain English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and work independently.
• Experience using AI tools in legal work is preferred.
