Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III to serve as the senior authority on precast and prestressed QC across multiple plants. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare plants for PCI audits and DOT approvals, resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record, and supervise Level I and II inspectors.

The position requires PCI Level III certification and 6+ years of relevant experience, plus deep knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT specs.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit; credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead the corrective actions; Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers; supervise Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
