Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to prepare and revise complex circuit card assemblies for a remote U.S. program. You will work with mechanical and electrical engineering inputs to ensure fabrication-ready designs, and you will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve design issues.

The role requires strong proficiency in Mentor Graphics tools, IPC standards, and a track record of mentoring junior designers. Candidates should be able to work remotely from the U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Mentor Graphics tools and IPC standards.
• Willingness to work overtime as requested/required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience providing CAD tool expertise to internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex PCB layouts or revisions per verbal instructions and engineering inputs to create circuit card assemblies.
• Interface and troubleshoot PCB designs, revisions and CAD library models with Manufacturing, Engineering and PWB fabrication vendors.
• Mentor and coach junior level designers.
