Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Expert and SME to lead end-to-end resolution of payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, and amendments.

The Staff Payroll Tax Processor serves as technical lead and coach for the team, handling the most complex cases while mentoring others. The role focuses on fixing payroll tax problems, including Federal/State notices, amended returns, and tax corrections across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focusing on tax defect resolution for notices, amended returns, and corrections across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types and ability to draft penalty abatements and agency responses.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states and quarters, managing full case lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (e.g., Form 941-X) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods and jurisdictions; drive corrections to resolution.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving correction and amendment requests with high accuracy.
• Mentor and coach Senior Processors, building team capability through coaching and knowledge sharing.
