Intuit, Inc. seeks a Senior Payroll Tax Expert and SME to drive end-to-end resolution of notices, corrections, and amendments. You’ll own complex cases, mentor junior staff, and improve processes for faster, accurate tax resolutions.

The role emphasizes deep payroll tax defect resolution, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and building team capability while delivering for customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution.
• Experience drafting penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience filing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.
• Deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and local tax compliance.
• Multi-state expertise and leadership through complex resolution scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex state and federal payroll tax notices end-to-end.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across 10+ states.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods and jurisdictions.
• Maintain high productivity resolving corrections, amendments, and notices.
• Coach Senior Payroll Tax Processors and transfer knowledge to the team.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
