Job summary

Addison Group seeks a Payroll Administrator in Irving, TX to own the organization’s payroll function for 100+ employees. You will manage records, deductions, benefits, and tax items, ensuring accurate, on-time pay and strong internal controls.

This full-time, onsite role partners with Finance and HR on reporting, audits, and process improvements. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of payroll processing, Paycom experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll processing or payroll-related HR experience.
• Strong payroll administration, payroll taxes, deductions, and wage compliance.
• Paycom experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel capabilities (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data analysis.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to research unfamiliar payroll requirements and independently determine next steps.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet payroll deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
• Clear and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end biweekly payroll process for 100+ employees.
• Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax items.
• Review wages, taxes, deductions, and benefit contributions for accuracy.
• Handle garnishments, child support orders, and other legal deductions.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues.
• Process bonuses, commissions, adjustments, retroactive payments, and off-cycle items.
• Prepare payroll accounting entries and ensure data flows to the accounting system.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and provide month-end/quarter-end close support.
• Coordinate annual W-2 preparation and reconciliation activities.
• Assist with payroll tax filings and audits; respond to inquiries from government agencies.
