Job summary

Saber Power Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Payroll Specialist II to manage biweekly payroll for multiple entities across states using ADP. The role partners with HR and Accounting to maintain accurate records, handle complex pay types, and ensure timely payroll processing.

This is an onsite position at our Clear Lake headquarters. The ideal candidate will cross-train across the full payroll cycle, support reconciliations and reporting, and provide dependable backup coverage while upholding

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on payroll experience.
• Experience using ADP payroll systems.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll.
• Understanding of varied pay types and pay rules (wages, per diem, travel, report time).
• Understanding of payroll job costing and relationship to accounting records.
• Ability to reconcile data and resolve discrepancies independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform portions of biweekly payroll processing for multiple companies in ADP.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with Payroll Manager, HR, and Accounting.
• Cross-train across the full payroll cycle to provide reliable coverage.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and coordinate terminations with HR.
• Set up new-hire payroll profiles in ADP and verify direct deposit details.
• Process wage garnishments and tax assignments across states as needed.
• Prepare payroll reporting and reconciliations for Accounting review.
• Support audits by providing records and documentation.
