Job summary

Saber Power Services is seeking a Payroll Specialist II to join our on-site team in Houston, TX. You will work with Payroll, HR and Accounting to manage complex pay types and maintain accurate records. The role requires cross-training across the full payroll cycle and reliable backup coverage.

You will review data, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payroll reporting, including 401(k) reconciliations, while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to policies. No travel is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Six years of hands-on payroll experience.
• Experience using ADP payroll systems.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll.
• Understanding varied pay types and rules.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for multiple companies within ADP.
• Review payroll data for accuracy; resolve discrepancies with Payroll Manager, HR and Accounting.
• Cross-train across full payroll cycle for reliable coverage.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update pay rate changes.
• Set up new-hire payroll profiles in ADP and verify direct deposit details.
• Apply wage, per diem, travel time, and report time rules.
• Prepare payroll reporting and 401(k) reconciliations; support audits.
• Assist with setup of state tax authorities and multi-state tax assignments.
• Process wage garnishments and related payments.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting and other departments on payroll questions.
