Job summary

Sharp Clinical Services is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, review timecards, calculate deductions, and ensure accurate direct deposits.

Under general supervision, you will maintain data integrity between HRIS and payroll systems, compile reports, respond to agencies, and assist with regulatory compliance. A High School diploma and 5+ years of payroll experience are required, with ADP/Workday experience and strong Excel skills.

  • Minimum High School Diploma and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems and payroll administration.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Dimensions Timekeeping or Workday; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Compile payroll data for weekly (union) and bi-weekly (non-union) payrolls.
  • Review timecards, calculate deductions, and manage direct deposits.
  • Ensure data integrity between HRIS, timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Prepare periodic reports (union, 401k, FSA, HSA, etc.).
  • Respond to inquiries from agencies and vendors; support regulatory compliance.
  • Back-up Payroll Manager and assist with payroll process improvements.

Ready to be part of this?Under general supervision of the Manager, Payroll, compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records, process payroll and compile reports by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Payroll Specialist position. Other duties may also be assigned.Compiles payroll data for weekly (union) and bi-weekly (non-union) payrolls, including but not limited to timecard review, commissions, bonuses, wage garnishments, disability payments, taxable fringe benefits, statutory taxes and withholdings, direct deposit(s) and union obligations.Ensures data integrity between HRIS, time keeping and payroll systems and assists with integrations that support data transfer between those systems.Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting to include union, 401k, FSA, HSA, etc.Responds to outside agencies and vendor data inquiries.Assist with ensuring continuing compliance with all statutory and regulatory Payroll requirements. Work with payroll vendor to investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payroll taxes.Identifies, recommends and implements continuous improvement initiatives.Act as primary back-up to the Payroll Manager for all payroll processes.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
