Job summary

Silco Fire & Security is seeking a Payroll Manager based in Cincinnati, OH. You will own weekly payroll for 500+ employees across seven branches, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely filings.

You will collaborate with HR, Accounting, and a third-party payroll vendor to maintain robust processes and controls. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of payroll experience, with multi-state expertise, and strong knowledge of payroll systems, timekeeping and tax regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing.
• Deep knowledge of payroll systems, payroll tax requirements and related accounting practices.
• Experience with HRIS and time and attendance systems.
• Working knowledge of FLSA overtime rules and payroll calculations.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly payroll for 500+ employees across multiple states.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, including timekeeping and deductions.
• Partner with HR on payroll onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Coordinate with third-party payroll tax vendor for timely W-2s and filings.
• Monitor changes in payroll laws and update systems and procedures accordingly.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and respond to employee questions.
• Prepare payroll reports for management with data security in mind.
• Oversee integration of payroll with benefits and 401(k).
• Build strong relationships with employees, Accounting and external authorities.
