Transcend Search & Strategy is assisting an undisclosed PE-backed manufacturing client in finding a Sr Payroll Manager. The role oversees payroll operations across multiple states in a high-volume environment, driving accuracy and efficiency.

The candidate will have 6+ years of payroll experience, strong multi-state processing, ADP Workforce Now & ADP Time expertise, and hands-on 401(k)/HSA management, 5500 filings, and audits. Collaboration with HR and Finance is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of payroll experience in manufacturing or high-volume hourly environments.
• Strong multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Expertise in ADP Workforce Now & ADP Time.
• Experience with 401(k) and HSA contributions management.
• Knowledge of 5500 filings and 401(k) audits.
• Proven track record in process improvement and payroll optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process payrolls for 6 payrolls across multiple states for salaried and hourly employees.
• Oversee ADP Workforce Now and ADP Time systems for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle 401(k) and HSA contributions and ensure timely processing.
• Lead 5500 filings and 401(k) audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement process improvements to boost payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to optimize payroll operations.
