Hunter+Sage seeks an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and strengthen its payroll function in a multi-state, multi-FEIN environment. The role demands strong technical payroll expertise, leadership presence, and a high level of professionalism to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include overseeing weekly/biweekly payroll, maintaining compliance, leveraging ADP Workforce Now, and guiding both union and non-union operations while scaling processes for growth.

Qualifications

• ADP Workforce Now experience is required.
• Experience with mid-size to large companies is a must.
• Multi-state and multi-FEIN payroll experience is required.
• Experience in a union and non-union environment is preferred.
• Certified payroll reporting (CPR) and prevailing wage experience is strongly preferred.
• CPP certification is preferred.
• Bachelor0degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong leadership presence and professional accountability are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly/biweekly payroll processing across multiple FEINs and states.
• Oversee payroll compliance and ensure accurate, timely processing.
• Manage payroll within ADP Workforce Now.
• Support payroll in both union and non-union environments.
• Oversee certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage requirements.
• Provide leadership and oversight to the payroll function.
• Strengthen payroll processes, controls, and documentation.
• Partner with HR and leadership on payroll, reporting, and inquiries.
