Job summary

RSM is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist in Dallas for weekly and biweekly multi-state payroll processing. You will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with federal/state laws, and timely reporting to clients and leaders.

You will build strong client relationships, balance tax filings and stay current on payroll regulations. Dayforce expertise and advanced Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full cycle payroll processing experience in a multi-state or international environment.
• Experience with Dayforce.
• Microsoft Office 365, Excel (including basic formulas and VLOOKUPs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills with an emphasis on problem-solving.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly and biweekly full cycle, multi-state payroll for RSM’s clients. Deep understanding of payroll compliance and payroll tax laws.
• Reconcile and work on tax balancing per pay cycle, quarterly and annual tax filings.
• Year-end processing.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients and internal leaders.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations.
• Proactively identify problems and data trends to offer client solutions.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of multiple payroll software products.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Interact with multiple levels of client organizations and present to executives.
• Forecast projects and align with consulting operating rhythm.
