Job summary

Pretium Enterprise Services is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to manage the bi-weekly payroll cycle for a multi-state, multi-entity organization, primarily using Workday in coordination with ADP.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines, with responsibilities spanning tax withholdings, garnishments, W-2 processing, and audit support across a remote US environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience in multi-state settings.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities under time pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Customer service oriented with ability to support varied career levels.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for multiple entities and states (bi-weekly and semi-monthly) in Workday.
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, retirement plans, and other withholdings.
• Audit and administer time and attendance data.
• Audit garnishments and manage related vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet deadlines and ensure data accuracy.
• Respond to payroll inquiries via phone and payroll email.
• Investigate and resolve payroll processing questions and issues.
• Assist reconciliations, payroll balancing, tax activities, including W-2 processing.
• Support audits by providing records; ensure timely W-2 distribution.
• Issue or reissue checks or direct deposits as needed.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
