Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of direct payroll processing experience, multi-state.
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, data validation, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payrolls biweekly, semimonthly, or monthly.
• Reconcile payroll records and prepare journal entries.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close and W-2 processing.
• Ensure payroll tax filings comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with HR on employee changes and benefits administration.
• Maintain payroll data accuracy and respond to audits.
