Job summary

Legend Biotech seeks a Senior Manager, US Payroll, to lead end-to-end payroll for multi-state US operations from Bridgewater, NJ. You’ll ensure accurate, timely processing, governance, and compliance, partnering with HR, Finance, Tax, and external vendors to optimize payroll services.

You will drive process improvements, manage year-end activities, and support audits while maintaining SOX controls and data integrity, with a focus on accuracy and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8-10+ years of progressive payroll experience in multi-state US payroll operations.
• Experience with Workday Payroll and/or Workday HCM preferred.
• CPP certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SOX, payroll governance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end processing of multi-state, bi-weekly US payroll.
• Oversee payroll activities including off-cycle payments, bonuses, equity, garnishments, deductions, tax updates, retroactive pay, and leaves.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve complex payroll issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and SOX controls.
• Maintain payroll controls, governance, and audit readiness; support year-end activities (W-2, filings).
• Collaborate with HRIS, IT, Finance, Tax, Benefits, Legal, and external vendors.
