Job summary

Anedot, a remote-first payments company, is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support the Controller across multiple entities. You will manage close, reconciliations, and payroll support, turning processor and bank activity into clean books for review.

You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, processors, and external auditors. The role emphasizes execution, ownership, and reliability in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Strong US GAAP fundamentals.
• 3–6+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience owning or co-owning monthly close tasks and reconciliations.
• Background in payments processors or sponsor banks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reserves.
• Assemble close packages (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow support).
• Own bank/FBO/payments reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations.
• Prepare PBC schedules and assist audits/controls.
