Job summary

Proven Recruiting is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the full accounting cycle in a fully remote, multi-entity environment. You will drive month-end close, perform journal entries, and provide analysis while collaborating cross-functionally to improve processes.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong reconciliations, AR/AP, and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends, costs, revenues, commitments, and financial results; provide insights to management.
• Maintain assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, receivables, payables, leases, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Drive process improvements, support audits, ensure GAAP compliance, and develop accounting policies.

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, debits/credits, AR/AP, and financial statements.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle accounting ownership, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a complex, multi-entity environment; exposure to multiple subsidiaries or international accounting is a plus.
• A proactive, self-sufficient accountant who asks thoughtful questions, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

What you’ll do

• Own month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting packages.
• Analyze trends, costs, revenues, commitments, and financial results while providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Maintain and oversee key accounting areas such as fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, receivables, payables, leases, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Drive process improvements, support audits, ensure GAAP compliance, and contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures.

What does this position pay

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
