Job summary

Unite America seeks a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across a multi-entity organization. Reporting to the Controller, you will maintain accurate financial records across entities and assist in timely, decision-useful reporting.

This hands-on role handles high-volume transactions, ensures audit-ready documentation, and strengthens accounting processes as the organization grows. Denver-based preferred; remote candidates considered with travel and relocation support.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting the month-end close and maintaining the general ledger.
• Experience reconciling large datasets and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close.
• Maintain audit-ready records across multiple legal entities and ensure GL accuracy.
• Process inter-entity transactions and allocations.
• Reconcile cash accounts and monitor cash balances.
• Manage AP/AR processes including invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Controller and external partners on month-end close and audits.
