Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 3 to provide advanced administrative support in a physician office or clinic. The role handles complex tasks, escalations, and acts as a backup supervisor when needed.

It requires leadership in staff training and a strong focus on patient-centered care. Ideal candidates have Epic experience, knowledge of patient registration and insurance procedures, and the ability to manage scheduling, check-in/out, and inquiries with

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation; understands Out of Network.
• Epic experience and healthcare administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in hiring and peer interviewing.
• Handles patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and phones.
• Delivers complex tasks and escalated issue resolution.
• Contributes to process improvement and leads team huddles.
• Mentors and trains staff on procedures.
• Provides training on applications and patient-access systems.
• Ensures training is utilized and identifies further needs.
• Backs up supervisor with schedule management.
• Oversees facility and equipment maintenance with the manager.
• Performs quality audits.
• Orders supplies.
