The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Scheduling Representative for the Spine Center during daytime hours. The role involves coordinating patient appointments across imaging, labs, clinics, and treatment services within EPIC scheduling workflows.

The incumbent may travel between clinics and support teams to ensure seamless patient flow. Responsibilities include accurate scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and preparing referrals.

Competenze

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ year of healthcare or direct customer service experience.
• Proven knowledge of EPIC EMR scheduling or other scheduling systems.

Mansioni

• Answer high-volume incoming calls and schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient visits including clinic, imaging, and procedures.
• Register patients prior to visit or on arrival; verify demographics and insurance; process referrals.
• Educate patients on required medical records for appointments.
• Schedule referral appointments and send necessary records to referred offices; use scheduling systems like Beacon.
• Maintain and communicate accurate scheduling, reminders, and changes to providers and staff.
