Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.
• Knowledge of CPT coding and HCPCS coding application.
• Must be able to verbally communicate clearly and use appropriate terminology.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Obtain pre-authorization or referral codes prior to each treatment from Clinical Reviewer.
• Review patient balances and guide front desk on collection steps.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance in the system at each visit.
• Stay current on financial aid options and liaise with providers to secure assistance.
