Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville is seeking an Access Associate Senior to join the patient access team. You will support registration, scheduling, and financial clearance across a high-performing academic medical system, with potential hybrid work-from-home after 6 months.

The role starts at $19.50/hr with a $3,500 sign-on bonus and a 2-year commitment. Two years of relevant experience and/or an associate degree are considered.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience. Access Associates fully cross-trained to cover multiple specialties will be considered in lieu of the 2 years relevant experience.
• Strong judgment, adaptability, and a patient-centered mindset for diverse workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updates with high accuracy.
• Coordinate and manage appointment scheduling across specialty and primary care services.
• Communicate with patients and families, providing clear guidance on processes and next steps.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and access staff to resolve scheduling and registration challenges.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while upholding standards.
