Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is hiring a Sr Patient Access Associate to support front-line, patient-facing access services across departments. This full-time, second-shift role emphasizes greeting patients, accurate account creation, and timely insurance verification while upholding regulatory standards.

You will work 12:30 PM–9:00 PM with initial training 7:00 AM–3:30 PM for three weeks. Benefits eligible, with opportunities for growth and tuition support through educational programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years customer service experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy rating.
• BLS certification within six months of hire or transfer date required (AHA-endorsed).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers professionally and create/verify accounts for scheduling, pre-registration, and registration to optimize cash flow.
• Verify insurance information and receipting payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with pre-registration/pre-admission and patient way finding/escorting as needed.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and staff to support a smooth patient experience in a fast-paced setting.
