Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions seeks a patient access professional to greet patients, register at the point of service, and collect required demographic and insurance information. You will verify insurance, explain financial responsibilities, and support scheduling for diagnostic and post-discharge steps in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires good communication, adherence to compliance standards, and the ability to work across multiple Patient Access areas, including the Emergency

Qualifications

• Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer.
• Knowledge of function and relationships within a hospital environment preferred.
• Customer service skills and experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications.
• Understanding of Third Party Payor requirements preferred.
• Understanding of Compliance standards preferred.
• Must be able to perform essential job duties in at least two Patient Access service areas including Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, register at date of service, explain forms and collect information.
• Educate patients about financial liabilities and collect payments per policies.
• Obtain insurance verifications and schedule post-discharge care when needed.
