Qualifications

• Associates degree; 3 years of equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
• 3 years of experience working in a medical or customer service setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide appointment scheduling for single or multiple providers per scheduling guidelines.
• Handle front desk check-in/check-out and verify patient demographics and insurance.
• Triaging calls and directing patient flow, acting as liaison between patient, family and providers.
• Coordinate care with main campus and other centers; manage referrals and medical records.
• Prepare complex documents and assist with insurance authorizations and records requests.
