Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in patient access, healthcare registration or related role.
• Experience with insurance verification, benefits review, and/or registration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Register and admit patients across hospital access areas (ED, main registration, admitting).
• Verify insurance, review benefits, and communicate patient financial responsibilities.
• Apply judgment to resolve discrepancies and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Communicate detailed patient financial responsibility and collect payments when possible.
• Flex across access points to support high-volume or high-acuity periods.
• Provide guidance to PAR I staff on workflows and systems without supervisory duties.
