Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks a senior packaging/IC/board-level engineer to perform electrical model extraction, SI/PI simulations, and reporting in a collaborative environment with package, platform and IC designers.

You will support high-speed SerDes PI/EM analyses for computing and server projects. The role requires strong EM theory background, experience with field solvers (HFSS, Q3D) and SPICE tools (ADS, HSPICE), and familiarity with PCIe/USB/MIPI SerDes specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 8+ years in System/Package Design/Technology Engineering or related work experience.
• Master’s degree preferred with 7+ years in System/Package Design/Technology Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD with 6+ years in System/Package Design/Technology Engineering or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform IO analysis with model extraction, simulation, and reporting for various serial interfaces.
• Analyze IO power distribution for product development and reference systems.
• Perform package extraction for time- and frequency-domain analysis and provide design guidelines.
• Document results clearly and thoroughly.
