Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to provide on-site automation support for high-speed beverage lines. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, writing and debugging ladder logic in Studio 5000, diagnosing PLC/HMI/VFD issues, and mentoring technicians.

This full-time role requires a 12-hour 2-2-3 day rotation, relocation assistance, a 4+ year background in industrial automation, and a strong ability to collaborate with operations,

Qualifications

4+ years of industrial automation on high-speed lines.
Strong PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and network troubleshooting.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical docs.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and 2 on-shift controls support for packaging lines.
Diagnose PLC/HMI/VFD/motion-control issues and implement fixes.
Develop and execute automation projects to improve throughput.
Mentor maintenance techs and operators in controls practices.
Maintain documentation, backups, and change records.
