Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for our Glendale, AZ facility. The role is on-site in Scottsdale and requires leadership in automation projects, diagnostics, and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
The candidate will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and network issues, supervising upgrades, documentation, and safe production restoration. A 2-2-3 schedule and relocation assistance are offered.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology, automation, or related field; may consider relevant experience.
- 4+ years of industrial automation/controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and electrical networks.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
