Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into system requirements. You will link Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product to ensure accurate, implementation-ready specifications for new products and state launches.

In your first year you’ll own the requirements lifecycle, lead UAT, and help Kin expand to new states while ensuring scalable, repeatable delivery and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a business or systems analyst role, ideally in P&C.
• Experience translating insurance product concepts into requirements for Engineering.
• Knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and policy administration impacts.
• Ability to produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Experience with Agile delivery, UAT, and requirement clarifications.
• Proven ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into decisions.
• Experience managing requirements across multiple products and states.

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for insurance products and state configurations.
• Translate product decisions into clear business and functional specs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and align decisions.
• Document current and future state processes and manage changes.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, and compliance needs before development.
• Create user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria with traceability.
• Be the primary point of contact for clarifications during development.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and beta validation before release.
• Drive launch readiness and maintain documentation standards.
