Job summary

Kin Insurance, a remote-first homeowners insurer, seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into systems and requirements. You will own the requirements lifecycle across state launches, endorsements, and coverage changes, collaborating with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, and Engineering to ensure accurate implementation.

You will drive UAT planning, acceptance criteria, and launch readiness, partnering with diverse teams to ensure compliant, scalable solutions

Qualifications

5+ years as a business or systems analyst in insurance
3+ years in P&C insurance domain
Experience translating product concepts into structured requirements

Responsibilities

Own requirements lifecycle from discovery to implementation-ready handoff
Translate insurance product concepts into clear requirements and specifications
Collaborate with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product
Document current-state processes and define future-state workflows
Identify gaps, dependencies, and compliance requirements before development
Build user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria with traceability
Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and beta validation
Own clarification questions and decisions during development
Lead launch readiness and documentation standards
