Job summary
Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into system-ready requirements. You will own the requirements lifecycle across new products, state launches, endorsements, and coverage changes, collaborating with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product.
You will build user stories, data mappings, decision tables, and acceptance criteria to support accurate implementation and testing,
Qualifications
- 5+ years as business or systems analyst, including 3+ years in P&C insurance.
- Translate insurance concepts into structured requirements for Engineering.
- Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Experience in Agile or iterative delivery, with UAT and implementation validation.
- Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple stakeholders into clear decisions.
- Knowledge of policy administration systems and rating/form rules is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and changes.
- Translate product decisions into clear business requirements for Eng and Tech Product.
- Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product review to validate changes.
- Document current- and future-state processes and maintain traceability.
- Collaborate across Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, and Operations.
