Job summary

Struction Solutions is seeking an experienced Owner Authorized Representative II (OAR II) to oversee commercial and/or public educational facility construction projects in the Los Angeles area. The role manages assigned projects from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring compliance with District requirements, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 15 years of full-time, paid professional experience in construction/project management of commercial or public educational facilities.
• 5 of those years coordinating complex projects with values exceeding $20 million.
• CCM credential may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned projects from pre-construction to close-out.
• Review pre-construction documents and provide comments to the design team.
• Prepare project status and progress reports for upper management.
• Coordinate with public agencies, District staff, and project teams on off-site work and requirements.
• Manage project budgets and schedules, reviewing budgets monthly.
• Oversee daily contractor activities, review schedules and submittals, and respond to RFCs.
• Review contractor substitutions for compliance with specs and district requirements.
• Review and negotiate change orders for fair pricing and schedule impact.
• Review payment processes and monitor payments to project partners.
• Administer professional service agreements between architects and the District.
• Coordinate delivery of District fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Manage project close-out and DSA certification.
