Job summary

Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate client payroll processing and timely delivery of payroll services for multiple clients. The role focuses on client relationships, data confidentiality, and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, CPP preferred, and experience with ADP RUN. Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs relevant payroll experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of degree.
• CPP preferred.
• Experience with ADP RUN software and implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment serving multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their specific payroll system and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and/or process payrolls in a timely manner to meet client deadlines including updating employee records, calculating/paying bonuses or severance, reviewing taxes, reconciling deposits and withholdings.
• Prepare reports of employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer’s contribution for social security and unemployment.
• Establish strong and trusted client relationships by effectively consulting with clients on payroll matters.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data and communicate information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Provide technical software support to clients and identify out-of-scope work.
• Identify new opportunities to expand services to clients and assist implementation teams as needed.
