Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Senior Outside Sales Representative to develop new prospects and maintain relationships with existing customers, primarily visiting client sites in Colorado.

You will meet or exceed annual gross margin budgets, navigate pricing policies, and report market conditions. This role requires extensive travel and independence, with a base salary in the expected range and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience required; 6+ years preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals.
• Ability to sell and be persuasive.
• Extensive travel required, including some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling to complex accounts in territory.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Maintain customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
