Job summary

Ziply Fiber seeks a Senior Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer to drive fiber OSP project execution, design validation, budget adherence, and schedule management. You will oversee OSP infrastructure, ensure capacity and constructability, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to deliver scalable network solutions.

The role requires expertise in OSP design, cable counts, records, and permitting for ROWs/easements, along with multi-project management and strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience, or 5+ years in OSP engineering.
• 5+ years of telecom outside plant project management or fiber design experience.
• 3+ years of ROW, private easement, and permitting with local/state/federal entities.
• Knowledge of outside plant design, cable counts, capacity, and records.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design OSP projects, validate designs, manage budgets and schedules.
• Create and review high/low level designs (HLD/LLD).
• Coordinate with departments and external teams for project planning.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and prepare cost estimates.
• Perform QA/QC on vendor designs and maintain cable records.
• Manage permitting lifecycles with state, county, city, and utilities.
• Provide mentorship and cross-functional support to teams.
