Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer to lead fiber OSP projects from Planning through to construction, ensuring design validity, budget adherence and schedules. The role provides SME-level engineering oversight of OSP infrastructure, including cable sizing, counts, records and permitting for rights-of-way and easements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, or minimum five years in OSP Engineering.
• Minimum of five years in telecommunications outside plant project management and/or fiber design, including inventory management.
• Three years’ experience in ROW, easements and permitting with local, state, and federal entities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design outside plant facilities, review HLD/LLD, and prepare cost estimates.
• Review vendor designs and perform QA/QC audits; maintain cable records and as-builts.
• Coordinate permitting lifecycle with State, City, County and other authorities; manage ROW/easement records.
• Provide leadership support, mentorship and cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations and regulatory teams.
• Be available during Pacific Standard Time; on-call and weekend work as needed.
