Job summary

Ziply Fiber seeks a Manager, Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering to lead a team of engineers and vendors, ensuring quality and on-time project delivery within budget. The role requires collaboration across the Construction Department and multiple internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years of outside plant (OSP) experience, including quoting, permitting and other pre-construction activities.
• Developed leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead others.
• Experience using fiber optic network documentation tools.
• Advanced understanding of the permitting process for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering team and provide leadership and mentorship through coaching, feedback, development goals and performance management.
• Accountable for staffing, schedules and compliance associated with OSP engineering and construction activities, along with safety and quality of work performed.
• Oversee production of all engineering work orders within an assigned geographic area; ensure compliance with standards, NESC, and municipal requirements; confirm project cost estimates and release work orders to Construction on time.
• Manage Engineering process and documentation through project completion.
