Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS and CPT coding guidelines.
• Experience with encoder applications and coding software.
• Experience with AHIMA or AAPC certification pathways is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS and CPT codes for complex outpatient encounters.
• Review documentation and query physicians to clarify diagnoses or procedures as needed.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity standards per department policy.
• Abstract data accurately into the EHR and coding systems.
