Job summary

Lumos is seeking a full-time Manager – OSP Construction to lead outside plant fiber builds, interfacing with subcontractor teams and local officials. You’ll drive safe, on-time, on-budget execution and shape processes with internal Lumos engineers.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in OSP fiber construction/engineering and 2-5 years leading techs and contractors; HS diploma required, BA preferred. Strong communication and leadership are essential for cross-team coordination.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in OSP construction, engineering, or fiber operations.
• 2–5 years leading techs and contractors in fiber builds.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to influence and lead teams.
• Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes assigned market builds safely, on time & within budget.
• Manages scheduling and coordination of maintenance, repair, and upgrade of OSP facilities.
• Delegates responsibilities and empowers direct reports to design builds and track progress.
• Coordinates with local governments, utilities, and internal Lumos teams.
• Provides technical leadership and manages CAPEX, OPEX, and inventory.
• Builds a high-performing team through recruitment and training.
