Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking an Operating Room Scheduling Coordinator to join the Operating Room team. You will act as the hub of communication among surgical clinics, physicians, anesthesia teams, vendors, and support departments, preparing and distributing schedules and managing real-time updates for a seamless surgical day.

Qualifications

• Active clinical administrative experience with medical terminology.
• Formal education: Medical Office Assistant cert or associate degree.
• Combination of HS diploma and Roswell Park medical assistant program.
• 5–6 years of full-time admin support in a clinical setting.
• Equivalent of 4–5 years of admin exp in clinical setting with terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedule preparation and distribution for surgical cases in PICIS.
• Coordinate real-time updates and ensure teams have necessary information.
• Lead daily huddles and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate anesthesia support and confirm equipment/vendor presence.
• Collaborate with clinics, physicians, and support departments to adapt plans.

Education

Medical Office Assistant certificate program

Associate’s degree in related field

High School diploma + Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate

High School diploma + 5 years admin experience in clinical setting

High School diploma + 6 years admin/customer service with traineeship
