Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to lead site operations at the New Albany FC, overseeing budget, people development and performance objectives.

The role drives Lean initiatives, mentors a team of Operations and Area Managers, and partners with HR, Finance and Facilities to secure resources for projects and initiatives. The position requires 7+ years of direct management in manufacturing or distribution, a Bachelor's degree, and flexibility for overnight/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet the business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages Managers to source ideas and build improvement plans for the area.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers for resources.
