Job summary

Uber Freight in Chicago, IL is seeking an Operations Recruiting Manager to lead and scale our Talent Acquisition efforts for the Operations business. You will bridge workforce strategy with hands-on execution, manage a team of recruiters, and partner with department leaders to attract top-tier talent.

You will standardize recruiting workflows, optimize pipelines, and drive data-driven decisions to improve time-to-hire, offer acceptance, and candidate experience across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of recruiting experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Proven track record of using data to drive recruitment strategy and influence business leaders.
• Experience building, managing and hiring teams.
• Experience working within transportation/logistics companies and knowledge of logistics operations departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentorship: Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing talent acquisition team to reach their goals and excel in hiring best practices.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with executives and cross‑functional leaders to forecast headcount needs, set expectations, and align on hiring priorities.
• Hiring Excellence & Operations: Drive standardization across recruitment workflows, ATS processes, and interview standards to ensure a fast, equitable, and top‑tier candidate journey.
• Data‑Driven Strategy: Leverage recruiting analytics (Time‑to‑Hire, Offer Acceptance Rate, Funnel Conversion) to influence stakeholders, measure quality, and continuously improve hiring operations.
