CDL Driver Recruiter — Put Drivers in the Seat

Location: Chicago, IL area

We’re hiring an experienced Driver Recruiter to support a large transportation operation in the Chicago market. This is a hands‑on recruiting role for someone who understands CDL drivers, trucking, and what it takes to get drivers hired and into seats.

The Opportunity

• Source, recruit, qualify, and hire CDL drivers and Owner-Operators/Independent Contractors
• Support a busy Chicago operation with 80 drivers and approximately 200 loads per day

What We’re Looking For

• Proven success recruiting and placing CDL drivers
• Transportation, trucking, or logistics recruiting experience
• Understanding of DOT/FMCSA driver qualifications and safety requirements
• Experience recruiting both company drivers and Owner-Operators is a plus
• Strong sourcing skills with the ability to proactively identify and engage drivers
• Ability to understand what motivates different driver populations, including miles, rates, lanes, home time, equipment, operating costs, and earning potential
