Job summary

Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN) is seeking a senior, hands-on Operations Manager to translate strategy into an annual operational plan and oversee people, processes and resources for high-quality community support.

You will line manage the Programme Manager, Fundraising Manager and Administrator, coordinate activity leaders and volunteers, and liaise with NHS partners. This is non-clinical.

Qualifications

• Significant operations or organisational management experience.
• Experience turning objectives into plans and managing budgets.
• Experience with governance groups or trustees; volunteer management helpful.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities, responsibilities and timelines; lead practical improvements to systems and working methods.
• Coordinate welcoming, person-centred services, improve access and use participation, feedback and impact data to strengthen delivery.
• Maintain operational links with NHS partners and volunteers; keep referrals and communications clear.
• Support Board and AGM processes, reporting, policies, risk and data protection.
• Collaborate with Finance Trustee on budgets, expenditures, controls and grants.
• Manage staff and volunteer induction, performance reviews, suppliers, contracts and premises.
