Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Fulfillment Center's budget, people development, and operational objectives. You will oversee a team of Operations and Area Managers, mentor leaders, and drive safety, quality, and customer experience across inbound or outbound operations.

You will set clear expectations, measure performance, and roll out Lean and process-improvement initiatives. Collaboration with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance and holds Ops Managers accountable.
• Leverages managers by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans for the area.
• Promotes best practices across departments, shifts and the network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
