Job summary

Amazon in Redlands, CA is seeking a Senior Operations Manager responsible for budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the site, leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, and building leadership bench strength.

You will drive safety, quality, and performance for inbound or outbound operations, set expectations, measure performance, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources and deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and creating improvement plans.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts and the network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
