Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Operations Manager in Johnston, RI to lead budget, people development and site operations. You will coach a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality and customer experience across Inbound or Outbound functions.

The role requires 7+ years of direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution, and a bachelor's degree (MBA preferred). Expect flexible hours and multi-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• Strong leadership across large teams in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Ability to drive staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance mgmt.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays as business demands.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality initiatives and Lean changes to meet/exceed business plan.
• Oversee safety, quality, performance and customer experience for Inbound/Outbound ops.
• Set/clarify expectations for Ops and Area Managers; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Leverage Ops Managers to source ideas and create improvement plans.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts and network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Ops Managers.
