Job summary

Terracon in League City, TX seeks a seasoned leader to manage a regional engineering consulting office. The role oversees P&L, budgets, and staff, driving project management, safety, and quality control while expanding client relations and new business development.

Collaboration with executives ensures strategic execution and risk management. The position requires a bachelor’s degree with substantial experience or a higher level of related expertise, plus strong leadership and proposal

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ practice experience required. Or, a minimum of 14 years’ related experience in lieu of degree.
A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
Certification or licensure in field of expertise is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee a large office supporting multiple service lines; manage and monitor budgets and resources.
Assign office manpower to projects to ensure optimal utilization.
Oversee proposal preparation and coordination with marketing and technical staff.
Supervise employee lifecycle: recruitment, performance management, salary actions, discipline.
Direct the office’s business development efforts and client relations.
Develop and execute annual office business plan and budgets.
Monitor project schedules, financial results, and equipment/facility needs.
Ensure compliance with risk policies and safety guidelines; mitigate risks.
Communicate safety initiatives and enforce quality standards across projects.
